Anna Carnes (b.1997 Indianapolis) graduated cum laude from Agnes Scott College in May of 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Media Studies.
They currently work as the Dana Fine Arts Building and Dalton Gallery Manager at Agnes Scott College, after recently finishing their yearlong fellowship as the Curatorial and Collections Fellow. During this time they created and curated an original exhibition of young emerging talent, &yet, in partnership with community partners, giving away $3,000 in awards. They are also currently employed at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, a non-profit arts institution in Atlanta as their Programming Coordinator. Anna was previously employed by the Decatur Arts Alliance as their Project Coordinator where they worked to bring the arts to Decatur in public art initiatives and festivals. A key project they created was coordinating the creation and installation of three site specific installation works by Black artists for each of the Decatur MARTA stations in partnership with MARTA Artbound.
